David Coppergray is back!!! Ready to make intelligent conversation disappear before your very eyes!!!
I know you missed me, I missed you all too. I really have no excuse for not writing, so I’ll make one up…”I just didn’t feel like it”. Oh wait, that’s true.
This is going to be the most random blog I have ever posted. No point, no direction, just me rambling about nothing for a long time. Just like I do when I’m preaching☺
I have to admit, I was a little disappointed that people haven’t been posting comments lately, but then I was reminded of a few things by Josh White (our resident genius of everything web)…that’s not the point of a blog! He also reminded me that I get a ton of hits on the blog…people reading and not posting…then I reminded myself that every time I read someone else’s blog I never post either! So here we go…
Christmas was great, 12 services over two campuses! 1,000 people stood to accept Jesus Christ, a few people complained the music was too rock for Christmas, but I have to say this…attendance is up over 1,200 people from this week last year!!! Something is going right. You have to be crazy to think that when 16,500 people show up for a weekend of services that everyone will be satisfied!! On any given weekend we have 7,000 people in attendance at the Creek between two campuses, not everybody likes me, some people can’t stand me, and some people are always going to be dissatisfied. That’s life…we have to stay true to what we do, we have to do things they way we feel God is leading us to do them…there are plenty of great Bible believing churches in Toledo, those who are disgruntled have plenty of options, we only hope they find somewhere that fits their needs…though this is a myth, since no church is perfect.
We just got the results back from the Willow Reveal survey you all took…we found some very enlightening data in it! Out of the 200 churches polled, we have the youngest average age demographics. We have the most evangelistic profile! Our church is full of people who formerly never attended church, so this is awesome!! It leaves a gapping hole in tithing though, but that’s the way we like it, that’s the way it’s always been, and I’ll take that any day. It’s NOT about numbers…being the largest church in the world, but when you have new people coming, it shows you are preaching the gospel unapologetically and NOT compromising the truth of Jesus. Some people outside our church think we’re growing because we’re just ‘entertaining’ people…they obviously haven’t been here, or they couldn’t say that! ‘Entertainment’ doesn’t produce the deep life change we are seeing around here…only Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit can do that!
We have something in the works here lately. We’re going to start an online Bible study that will post twice a week, written by me. We want to help people stay in the word during the week, we’re all busy I know…but this should be a great way to help us all grow! More on that soon.
As for me, I have been busy with the kids…Rachel went on a cruise with some of her friends…7 days of daddy bringing the fun!! 7 days of letting the kids eat things they shouldn’t be eating. 7 days of non adult interaction! 7 days of getting clothes changed, packing lunches and making dinners. 7 days of letting the laundry stack of in a huge pile in the living room. 7 days of things breaking and clogging around here with no one to fix them. It’s nice to have Rachel back! –ha
Things are great these days. I’m 33 with young kids, great friends and an incredible family…what else can I ask for? Ministry is going well. I have my moments of “what is the future holding for me, where is all of this going??” but overall God is calming me down and helping me stay focused on the tasks at hand. He has a way of doing that☺
I miss my camper! We are looking at our schedules and starting to plan this summers vacations, that is keeping me excited!
Ohio State and the Steelers let me down but I’m bouncing back. The political primaries are boring me to death and I find myself glued to ‘Monster Quest’ on the History Channel for no apparent reason!
On a different note, I will be bringing the music side of things back to the Creek this year. I have been stepping back for a while as God has been bringing some new talent to the worship side of things. Now we are getting ready to launch the Toledo campus and our talent pool is going to be tested once again! This is not the easiest thing we have ever done…musicians, volunteers and leaders are leaving to head to Toledo…that’s great, it really is…but we need people to step it up here…in all facets of serving…that means you! Some of you don’t quite get the whole multi site thing, I know…but it’s a simple philosophy. Many people won’t drive 15 minutes to attend church, so we’re eliminating that excuse☺ It’s not easy though, but what is that’s worth it?? We’re not adding staff for this, we simply don’t have the budget for that…God will provide, we are sure of that! Be praying for Mark and the leaders of all the campuses…we need it! We have plans to build a building out at Whitehouse too, so that will be huge!
Alright, enough of this rambling. If you’re on facebook, look me up, I’m taking over with my pathetic old pictures of myself and my life. It’s been fun getting connected with people I haven’t heard from in years! Feel free to post people, I’ll get a blog in here soon that actually has a point…be looking for that online Bible study too, should be fun.

Kyle,
I know that a lot of people don't comment blogs in general and I think it is because most read it through RSS feeds.
I have to say that I love hearing what is going on at the Creek. I happen to live in the Greater Cincinnati area but lived in Perrysburg most of my life so I miss the Creek A LOT. My husband and I attend the Cincinnati Vineyard which is a little lighter then the Creek but about the same size (we drive 45 minutes every week to be there so 10 minutes would be cake). We also listen to Life Church on the internet every week (talk about multiple campuses).
We are praying for you all as you expand and more forward with the Creek. How blessed is the Toledo are to have all of you in their lives.
Can't wait to take part in your on line Bible Study. I am sure it will be great.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
You sure aren't kidding that you ramble. Are you trying to convince your readers or convince yourself that you are happy with church and life! Perhaps people don't comment because of the content you write. Who cares that you're on facebook and do you think people really need or want to hear about what is happening at your house or with your camper? Most people that would take the time to check a church pastor's bolog want to know about what's going on in ministry and church and what God is doing. Or maybe that's not the purpose of these church blogs. If you want people to comment, write something that is worth the time it takes to make a comment.

Yay for blogging!!!!!
Yes that is my wife who commented before me. I love the blog. Don't be discouraged if you feel like you are preaching to an empty church. You probably get more hits on your blog than I do. But over time, people will find it and comment. Keep at it cuz for some of us out of towners, this is the best way for us to stay connected. I am a blogging junkie and I love reading blogs from other churches because I pray for those who do the work of God and aren't we all a part of the same CHURCH anyways? So I am praying for those in Toledo, So. Cal., Cincinnati, North Caroline, Oklahoma, and many others. I know the struggles of ministry and my heart is there for those who are leading. So here is some hype from Southwest Ohio. And if you want to visit our blogs, you can find us at www.churchpunk.com. And you can comment back at us if you got the time. Rawk on!!!! -chris

The clock is ticking...
Oh, I forgot. A few weeks ago my dad went to some old friend's of ours church, they're pastors, and they just opened up their church, it's called Faith Tabernacle of Bradner. Anyway, one of the pastors' niece, has these dreams that are sort of like visiona, always related to God. Her last dream she was in Heaven, and Jesus set this clock, kind of like a timer, but the thing was is that there was no hands on the clock though, it was really weird. What they think the dream means is that Jesus is sort of warning us that he's coming back, maybe soon, but we don't know because there were no hands on the clock, I'm sure that's a sign. Well, I just thought that was pretty cool so I thought I'd share it.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Bill...check the content again. I'm sure there's something about ministry, church and what God is doing in there. If you don't want to hear about my personal life then don't read my blog, it's that simple! This blog is about my thoughts and life as a pastor. Sometimes it has something to chew on Hippo, sometimes it just has my thoughts on life. That's the way I work. I don't mind the fact that there aren't many posts sometimes...don't get the wrong impression here. I was thinking that posts equaled readers when I started to blog, now I realize it has nothing to do with it. Great! The content isn't always going to be hyper spiritual. Sorry. But not really:)

I wasn't really after spiritual...just less wordy. I think you're alright. I wouldn't go as far as Kelly with the ego stroking...but, you know, you're sound. Also, I was wondering what your thoughts are on spanking your kids. Spank or don't spank? That is the question. I read loud and clear that the bible says spank. Anybody else? Go. Oh...and I'm still on the look out for Falco. I hear there has been a sighting. Just a little more bait...and BAM! It won't be long now...

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
All Aboard HA HA HA....iii. Hello Kyle. Hello people of Cedar Creek blogpalooza. I missed you a little. Hello Bill!! Hey Bill, buddy, can we talk a little about your haterism in that post. Have you been eatin hater-tots? Washin um down with some Hatorade maybe? Dude, Kyle isn’t your camp counselor from 7th grade! He probably has never even been to camp Young and Chubby so you can’t blame him for what happened! Okay, now let’s take a look at that post. Yes, Vanilla Gray is a ramblin man. Next, I don’t think that it sounded like Kyle Ice was trying to convince himself or anyone about his state of happiness. He was just being open with people. However, every once in a while FALCO has to remind myself of his blessings and remember that he is happy with his family, church, friends etc.. You must not need to do that huh? You also said that people don’t comment because of the content. But you commented! Truly another sign of insecurity. I am also thrilled that Kyle Griswold is on facebook and can't wait for him to post a pic of the camper! You know why? Because I too like to camp. That helps me relate a little more to one of the people in my Christian community. Lastly Bill, you stated pastor’s blogs are to be about “what's going on in ministry and church and what God is doing. Or maybe that's not the purpose of these church blogs.” Maybe if you would stop waving your hater flag and reread Clark W. Grays post you would see a little about ministry, church, and God in there. All I am really trying to say is that until you can say something nice, don’t say anything. Or actually no wait, just something that makes sense would be fine. I guess you don’t have to be nice. Just stop being so insecure man. Jesus loves you and so does KG-52. And so do I brother. Kelly, can I get you any chap stick? SPANK EM Hippo! Falco out.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
I have a few comments, Kyle! You mentioned in your church report that the church has a problem with titheing. If you look at the salaries of the pastors here at the Creek, that doesn't look like a problem. While I don't know the exact figures, I have heard that Lee and you guys make about $ 93, 000 a year. That is more money than most people would make with 30 years of work and a masters degree. So I don't think people are not giving money. lol Second, you mentioned that the political primaries are pretty boring. I disagree. I think it is the most exciting race of my lifetime so far. No one knows for sure what the outcome will be on either side let alone the general election. So I am closely following it every step of the way. :) On spanking, I don't see it as the Christian thing to do. While one could make the case that the Bible says spare the rod and spoil the child, I think it is taken out of context. A rod in Biblical times was a prod used to direct cattle or sheep by gently poking them in the side. In other words, when our kids need direction, we, as with a cattle prod, should gently point them in the right direction. As far as the argument that if we don't spank our kids, they will turn out to be bad people or become criminals, my own life puts that theory to rest. I was never spanked as a child and I grew up honest, moral, drug-free, and always obeyed the law among other things. My parents used other ways to discipline us and it worked. Besides, hitting a child with a belt, paddle, switch, or other instrument leaving welts or bruises hardly falls under the definition of Christian love or what we would want our kids to model. That is my two cents on the matter! Peace out!

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Great comments Tim! I don't care which path parents take, I was spanked and turned out fine too (that's debatable)!! I'm not interested in arguing a parents choice on this matter. As far as tithing goes, my comments are certainly not that no one gives, but that when you have a predominately younger congregation…newer Christians etc. the giving is commonly lower. This is fact, and this is the way we like it! I stated that. Lee’s salary is openly posted and I am not making what you propose. Not even close☺ I know many people who are loving these primaries, that’s great!! I am excited to see what comes out of it, but I’m getting tired of the coverage…it was more of a monster quest joke than anything else. Thanks for the two cents, I love it and always welcome everyone’s opinion, even if I don’t agree. That’s the beauty of blogging. Everyone has a voice!

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Kyle, I am one of the blog readers that never comment but you guilted me. I started going to the Creek last March and it has changed my outlook on life and I credit you for keeping me focused on Jesus. Out of all the pastors I identify with you the most. I am a "recovering" Catholic that had not been to church in 20 years, the Creek has connected with me in a way that I now have accepted Jesus in my heart. I have attended the spiritual gifts class and now serve at the Source. If you would have asked me a year ago if I would read a church blog I would have said you were crazy. I used to think organized religion was the root to all the worlds problems. But I think I have found a home and I owe it to you and Lee. Yes, I love the music rock or country, please keep it up. I would like to request an oncore of you singing with the video of " The Passion of Christ" in the background as you did for Easter, I don't remember the name of the song. I believe that was my defining moment of accepting Jesus or at least the icing on the cake. I will never forget that moment. As far as the primaries I agree with Tim I think they are interesting since there is no clear front runner. But, I will tell you who ever is strongest on illegal immigration will get my vote. I think it is Fred Thompson. The illegals put to much stress on the social services and insult our national integrety. Spank the kids. Anyway that was my first blog (maybe my last) but keep up the good work and God bless to all who write and read this blog.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Hello Timbo. I love how you get in your digs and then follow up with a LOL or smiley face. But check this out real quick. Ephesians 6:4- "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." Oh okay, well Apostle Paul, what are the Lords instructions for discipline? Oh, you want me to study my bible and find out myself? Okay! Well let’s see here.... um. “Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol.” (Proverbs 23:13-14) Oh and here is some more God breathed scripture from the wisest mortal ever. Proverbs 13:24, 22:15, 20:30. What Tim? You say that your parents didn’t need any of that biblical advice huh!? Tim, do a Hebrew word study for strike, rod, and discipline and get back at us. Of course there are some foolish people out there who want to use the bible with out understanding what is meant. Those who justify angrily beating a child because they think that’s what the bible states. That is just foolishness and you are right when you allude to hitting your kids in that manner as not being very Christian. However the bible does exhort us to restrained, corrective, and yes loving, physical discipline. Now on to your speculative rant about how much the pastors at the creek make. Dude, Speculation is stinky cologne and it really makes people who use it in the way you did look really silly. Yes, pastors make money too! Are you the one who should set the salary? Do you understand that a pastor’s job isn’t just 9 to 5 but an actual 24/7 always on call lifestyle? Tim read your bible buddy. Don’t muzzle the ox! Heck you would have probably wanted to take away the Levites filet mignon! God gave em the filet bro. Let em have it. Look at the actual numbers of creek attendees VS the amount of cash coming in. It’s a joke no matter if Lee is making Creflo Dollar money or not! You need to pick up the clue phone and go to a Cedar Creek Business meeting dude. The numbers don’t lie. I really want to comment on the politics and clue you in on what the bible says about that but this sucker is getting way to long. Tim, Jesus is the King regardless of who gets elected. Get your face off Fox News and into your bible. Falco out.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Thank you Camping Man for your comments about my parents. I appreciate it. Kyle, who is this Falco guy? Is he just a random blogger or does he have close ties to the Creek? If he does, I don't know if he is the person you want representing Cedarcreek. As a church reaching out to unbelievers and seekers, he could turn a lot of people off. I love how he criticizes Bill for not being nice and being hateful and then launches into a same type of broadside against me that is just as mean spirited. But since I was attacked publicly, I will respond. First of all, Falco, how dare you say my parents didn't raise me right. As I said, I turned out to be a good, moral, law-abiding citizen and I was never hit once. If you want to beat your kids, that is your choice but I would never do it to mine. I am a teacher so I impose discipline from time to time. I get my students to follow my rules and I never used corporal punishment. While the Bible might allow spanking, it also allows for other forms of discipline as well. Besides some of the punishments my parents handed out were a lot worse than getting a quick swat on the butt. That was an easy way out. lol As for pastors' salaries, I do believe some of them around the country are too high. I would set the salary at around 50 or 60 thousand. That is decent and while it ensures that the pastor is not in the poorhouse, it also ensures that he is not ripping us off. I think high pastor salaries are unjustified when a lot of congregants are struggling to make mortgage payments, put food on the table, put gas in their car, etc. While pastors work a lot of hours, they are not working 24/7 as you said. I am sure Lee is doing church work at 3 in the morning. lol But the funniest thing is how you justify these lavish lifestyles by saying it comes from God. In that case, why don't we make the salary 500, 000 and throw in a Mercedes to boot? lol It is all from God, right? This is how Jim Bakker got in trouble and why the general public does not respect Pastor Pitts around here. While I believe God does bless people who follow Him, this is way beyond anything that is reasonable. Otherwise, we would all have the same things because we all follow God. As for your comments about me speculating, your last comment is the pot calling the kettle black. I never said Jesus wouldn't be King if anyone got elected and I never said I watch Fox News. Talk about speculation. I could be watching CNN, MSNBC, or nothing at all. And why couldn't I also be watching Fox News or another news channel and reading my Bible at the same time? Yes, I can do two things at the same time. lol I read my Bible and do other things occasionally. You should try it some time. We have people at the Creek who watch Ohio State games for example and also read their Bible. Maybe you should tell them to get their face out of football and into their Bible. :) In other words, I am a unique individual who has his own hobbies and one of them happens to be politics. I am sure you will come back against me with another diatribe but I am ready for it. Fire away! Peace out!

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
It's easy to point to Lee's salary 25 years into his career. Let's go back to the beginning days when Lee stepped out into faith to start a church with a small group of people. No one complained then when he was making nothing with no guarantee God would provide for the Lee the way he is today other than God's words in the Bible. Let's praise God and thank him for the way he continues to bless this church and also Lee. And to respond to your comment Tim about working at 3am 24/7, apparently you don't understand what going into the ministry is all about. I'm not in the ministry but my family is so it's all I've known. The ministry is not a 8-5 job where you're worried about budgets and when is my next lunch break, this isn't something you go home from. You go to sleep thinking about it and you wake up thinking about it and when things are tough sometimes you never go to sleep. If you want to question something question Lee and what he's doing with his time and resources and the type of moral leader he is. If all of that is in check you won't have to worry about how high his salary gets. Besides he's probably giving 25% percent of it back what about you? I know I can do better in this department so I will be the last person to mention salary. This is the problem with some of the other pastor's you mentioned.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
You guys! You're looking at things from the world's perspective, not the Lord's. What's up with that? This salary thing goes on in all the churches and it has for years. It's the same as people saying they don't attend church, because the people there are hipocrites. I don't know who Falco is, but I enjoyed reading his comments, because they were based on Scripture. Look to God, not to men. He will direct your paths. Store up His Word in your heart. Meditate on it continually. Lee, Kyle, Ben...all of us are accountable to God. And God does bless abundantly. I'm grateful for the openess of the pastors at the Creek. In the Lutheran church that I was raised in, sometimes the Pastor's were not as reachable. It's refreshing to hear that they go through the same daily things that life brings to all of us. -Sue

While I know that you were not offended by Falco's comments, I can definitely tell you that was his intent. He wasn't saying that to compliment you. If he thinks you have a big mouth, he should look in the mirror.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Hey Kelly...my "ego stroking" comment was meant to poke fun at Kyle, not you. My point was made and it made me laugh. It's amazing how feather's get ruffled when people read between the lines and interepret based on their own conscience.

Wow!!! Things get pretty intense on "the Blog"!! All I can say is: Kyle, I'm thrilled to know you are a Steeler fan. I too love my family, my kids, camping, and I even have to smile when I look at the pile of laundry in the living room!! God is good and life is good! Oh, and I don't care how much $$ you make!

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Tim, I have got more than a few comments relating to not only Lee's salary ,but our entire staff's income.
Tithing is a major challenge at the church, especially given the fact Kyle mentioned, we have a huge population of non and new believers. For the most part they do not tithe. Praise the Lord for those faithful givers who give it up for what God is doing at CCC.
Just a few facts from the finance side that might help put things in perspective. Based on a survey of churches our size who report their pastor's incomes (like we do), the majority of CCC staff is below or at the lower 25% income of those having the same positions in other churches. Another way to say it, they are below the average in pay. Our executive pastors all fall below the 25 percentile of income. All responsible organizations do this benchmarking of their employees to ensure they hold on to talent. If we go by this data, we need to be concerned about moving the salaries up not down. Now that we have had incredible success at growing our church, our staff is sought after by other churches. It is a poor organizational decision to limit incomes. Did you know our executive pastors don’t take salary increases unless the rest of the staff takes increases that year. And more, our staff at CCC serve a much higher ratio of attendee to staff than the average. I could go on and on!!!
I am very proud of the fact that our (my) church reports every penny of income and spending every year. We also know how much our senior pastor gets paid. Most churches do not.
Ok now here is the challenge Tim. Go out this week and recruit a "Leader" who can take on a church (three locations) of 6000 and a budget of $5M and see if this type of experience can be had for $50-60K/year. The reality is that we would be providing more like $150K.
Lastly, Jim Baker got hammered for stealing and Pitts has obviously many more issues to deal with than a salary.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
This is in response to Bill: Your names will never hurt Falco because as I stated before, I’ve got some love for ya! HOWEVER…. C'mon man you cant tell me that you were meaning to make sense in that rebuttal! How old are you Billy? Ten? Do your parents know that you are on the internet? You call Falco “a fool and a hypocrite”? And..“Take out the plank, buddy”? You make me laugh bro! I just have to shake my head at that little tantrum. You mentioned that the truth should be spoken in love and I agree, but what part of your response to K-Fed Gray was loving? Yes, almost everything that you said in response to Kyle’s long winded rant was derogatory! Even Lee took notice of your insecurity! Listen man, I REALLY DO want to pick your response to me apart and show you how silly your comeback at Falco was but I just don’t think it’s worth it. I mean, just reread what you wrote to Kyle and then what I wrote to you, and then your response to me. You should be able to see how goofy you look after that. No worries Bill, pretty soon you will be in Jr High and no one will ever even remember this little embarrassing moment of yours. Falco out. PS Tim, stay tuned. Your next.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
FALCO, I have a sense of humor, I just don't see any humor in anythhing you say. Oh, and I didn't directly call you obnoxious, I implied it by simply saying they don't come anymore obnoxious than you. I didn't say "FALCO is obnoxious". But I guess you get the point. Don't be offended. Come on FALCO, have a sense of humor!

I do have one... Its on the second from the top shelf next to the sarcasm right in front of the obnoxious. Plus I said that first. Stop tryin to jock my lyrics. ha ha. Falco out.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Three cheers for you, Natalie. I have read this blog on a regular basis and have been so angry as I read the unfounded comments made by people like Bill and Tim, but none have angered me more than Falco. I have resisted commenting up to this point, but can no longer be silent. Falco, you are one of those stereotypical examples of the "kind of Christian" that people say have turned them off to Christianity. Yes, Falco, you are obnoxious, and hypocritical, and you most certainly do not speak the truth in love. You promote yourself as being righteous and then slam everyone that you disagree with as you attempt to stand on biblical truth. It is a shame too because you seem very bibically knowledgeable. Too bad it hasn't found its way to your heart and to your mouth. You could probably use that knowledge to glorify God if you only humbled yourself and learned to leave the vicious sarcasm and obnoxious tone out of making your points :) You might even convince people like Bill and Tim that your points are valid. God can change your heart and your tone if you let Him and He can also use that knowlege you possess to win people for Him rather than to blast people away from what is His truth! I think words spoken by people like myself and Natalie will only fall on Falco's deaf ears and I am sure his tongue will be very quick to lash back at me too! Falco, fire when ready buddy. I will still keep praying for you!

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
I completely agree with you Daisy. It's nice that you have started blogging and haven't let people like FALCO intimidate you. Back when I lived in Georgia, I went to this really small church. When you go to a small church the gossip goes around and people get really judgemental. I think part of the reason that little country chuch was so small was because of there foul tongues and how they turned off other christians. However, it was only a few people wre like that, but that was all it took. A few hypocrites who aren't open to any newcomers. Our congregation only consisted of about 50 people. And a regular Sunday there were only like thirty or so people there, much smaller thatn Cedar Creek.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
I think it's funny that anyone could be intimidated by anyone on a BLOG. Falco is a smart alec, no doubt. But no one has any idea who he is, or what's in his heart. I go back and read the stuff Falco writes, and sure, he's mouthy and it cracks me up sometimes...but, he's not a hypocrite (if you disagree, I challenge you to show me where in his posts). Don't confuse sarcasm and mouthiness for hypocrisy. To me, if I was a judgmental, critical person, I would think people like Nat and Daisy are a couple of uptight, know-it-all, judgmental old biddies who think they have the right to pass judgment on someone's heart whom they have never even met. All because they don't like his choice of words or his tone (I’m not sure how you get a tone from typing, but, whatever). This blog practically blows up when Falco posts. I’ve never seen several of the participants on this blog before. Falco gets people fired up…he makes you feel something, whether you like it or not. It gets people engaged; it gets them to open their mouths and blog. So far, most people just want to criticize and judge and react emotionally. I mean, GOD FORBID someone use the words “hatorade” and “hater-tots” on a church blog. What a heathen Falco must be. If you guys want to know what FALCO’s all about…ask him some legitimate questions. Don’t be so hasty to pass judgment. You might be missing something bigger…much bigger…

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Hippo, I wasn't calling FALCO a hypocrite, I was calling people at my old church in Georgia hypocrites. I don't think that FALCO is a hypocrite, I don't even know him! How could I make that judgement? You can say whatever you want, but don't go calling me judgemental, I'm not judging anyone, I'm just saying that judging people is wrong. God is the only one who can judge, got that hippo? By the way, you seem to really defend FALCO, I'm beginning to wonder if you are FALCO'S alter-ego. It only makes perfect sense. But I could be wrong.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
I haven't been to Cedar Creek since the service after the Christmas Eve service. I really miss it and feel that I'm missing out. I usually go when I'm with my dad on the weekend, but sadly, I have been very upset with him and having a hard time forgiving him for what has made me angry with him. I haven't gone with him for a long time. I hope that I can find it in my heart to forgive him, but the problem is is that even if I do forgive him, the mistake has been made and he will be living with it for however long a marriage that is doomed to end eventually, lasts.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Kelly...I realize you are a child but its really not proper to put your parents personal business on a blog. Parents ALL make mistakes, but even tho you do not like his choice of remarriage he does not need your permission or forgiveness. If you think hes made a mistake just pray for him. When you are older and have the chance to make choices of a spouse nine times out of ten your parents will think you've made a mistake. Plain and simple "this is life". We make mistakes...thats what makes people grow and learn. Divorce is hard on the whole family for sure...but remember you have your whole adult life ahead of you, and your Father (as well as your Mother) has every right to seek happiness with a partner of their choice. You do not have to like his decision by any means....but you really should respect it...and again let me say you should not put family and personal business anywhere on the net. It'll get better...wait and see.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
I appreciate your advice Sharon but I don't think it's wrong that I put this problem on the net. I'm not exposing my father, I did not say his name or anything. No one on this blog knows me personally or my family, I was just seeking some advice. My parents shouldn't be ashamed because if someone was to read this they would have no idea who my father was unless they were some creepy stalker that stalks my family and knows the story about my dad very well and would be able to identify exactly who he is. Needless to say, that's very unlikely. But I am geting really bored with this blog, so I think I'm gonna lay off for a while. I have a lot of more important things to do, I have a GPA to maintain and the only way that will work is if I can completely understand how to graph y=mx+b, I have a concret mind, abstract thinking is not for me.

Re: The Crazy Train is back!!!
Lets try and put this pastor salary issue in perspective. I formally worked for a fortune 500 company in the tobacco industry. Upper management was rewarded with salaries in the millions for addicting people to tobacco. What's it worth to addict people to Christ? Lee, give Kyle a fat raise and take one for yourself while your at it.
