I visited the Toledo campus this past weekend, (April 26&27), and was blown away by the conversations I had with previously unchurched people. Just after the 10:45 service I talked to three unchurched families in a row!
Their stories were different yet what all three had in common was that they had thought about trying Perrysburg, but didn't want to drive that far.
I am more convinced than ever that this multi-site strategy is a win for the Kingdom of God. Please pray for all of our campuses including Gods leading for the selection of our next site.
Your Co-laborer in Christ,
Lee

First of all if you are reading this between April 13 & 22, I am sitting in the sun vacationing in Florida with my wife.
I thought you might want a Toledo update. The attendance has held strong at over 2,500. This is way beyond what we expected! In addition we are very close to signing a contract to build our own building in Whitehouse. Keep praying.

Dear Creeker,
Many of you have expressed interest in being updated regarding the weekend attendance now that Toledo is online, so here it is:
Easter weekend total was 12,892 (Toledo was 2,950!)
This past "Big Push" weekend total was 9,182! (Toledo was 2,638!)
We expect attendance at Toledo to settle in at around 2,000.
This is all really good, but believe it or not we do have some challenges. Specifically the 10:45 services at both Toledo and Perrysburg are overflowing. So prayerfully consider giving up your 10:45 seat through late May. Please.
And pray that many people will come to faith in Christ over the next few weeks.
Let's never take for granted what God is doing at the Creek, we are privileged to be experiencing this. Thank Him daily.

Dear Friends,
Please pray. Pray that many people will come to faith in Christ this Easter weekend. I will be presenting the gospel as clearly as I can with hopes that many will indeed give their lives to Christ.
Here are a number of "other" things you can do to help make this weekend a success:
1. Invite four or more people to church. Did you know you can send an e-invite by logging onto www.cedarcreek.tv?
2. Regardless of which campus you attend, park sacrificially. Park at the edges of the parking lots!
3. Be super friendly to everyone!
4. Be polite during the service, and try not to leave early.
5. Pray throughout the service that I will proclaim the gospel clearly and that many people will come to faith.
6. Perrysburg folks, consider attending the any one of the two Friday services 5:15 and 7:00 or the Saturday at 3:30. This will help relieve the expected crowds at the normal service times.
7. Take time "now" after reading this to reflect on the indescribable sacrifice our Savior made for us and give him much thanks!
I love each one of you,
Your friend,
- Lee

Finally, we're blogging on this website! I just wanted to give my first shout out, short and sweet. I'm excited to get some good conversations going, but I'm going to need your help. Post your comments, post your comments, post your comments!!! If this just turns into me acting like a raving lunatic with no replies, it's not going to be pretty. Who's with me?

Why is it that working on cars never goes as planned?
I needed to change the brakes - which is an expensive job done at any local shop. As I drive down the road my brakes sound like a dinosaur's nails on a chalk board. SCREEEEEEEEECH. My father taught me how to do it when I was young to help save me money in the future. Well, it saves me money - but, there is something scary that happens when you jack the car up and begin to inspect, tear apart, and repair.
You see, this was supposed to be a simple pull of the old screeching break pads and replace them with new. As I started I noticed that my skill has improved and my efficiency was allowing me to finish this little project in record time. Then, as I was nearing the rebuilding stage - I noticed something wrong. Dun-dun-DUN!
It not only needed new brake pads, it needed new calipers. Oh boy.
Off to AutoZone. Ready to pick up the parts and return home...except they only have ONE caliper...so I have to drive to AutoZone #2.
Finally home, start putting it together. Long story short = it was much more work that I anticipated.
Then, as I was getting ready for bed - I couldn't help but think of my own life. I want myself problem free NOW. And sometimes when I sense God is trying to "repair" something minor - a major problem is discovered. Why is that? And what is more troubling - is why do I try to stop whatever God might be repairing.
So many of us are walking around with major "car problems" and it sounds like dinosaur nails on the chalk board. And perhaps, because we are afraid of what other problems might be discovered, we continue driving around, broken, in need of repair.
Here are some of the questions this little car experience raised in my own life - perhaps they will get you thinking, also.
How has my heart been lately? What might be screeching to the world around me? When do I give God space and quiet to work on me?

This weekend as I winced for three and a half straight hours at the game - all those Michigan digs came back to haunt me.
So, here is your chance to say: ND stinks, ND=loosers, I told you so's.
I am ready!
I deserve it.

Hi everyone. I want to let you know about an upcoming three-week seminar that I'll be teaching, It's called "Questions About Catholicism," and starts Thursday, October 4th at 7PM at the Perrysburg Campus main auditorium.
Before I forget, please register in advance for this so we can have enough materials prepared. We do expect a lot of walk in's because word is getting around town about it. I think there will be not only many former Catholics at the 'Creek coming but even current, practicing Catholics who are curious about what I'm going to say.
What's not going to happen is any Catholic bashing! No way! I'm attaching the intro page of the seminar materials (click here to download) that explains it all. If you know of someone who may be interested, invite them (pleaseeeeee- pre-register!)
By the way, I'm wondering how many Catholics (past/present) regularly attend CC? If you're one, let me know.
Grace!
Hooty
